I’ve been using Mudita Kompakt for four days and I also miss the app closing feature – the lack of this feature makes my battery drain quite quickly. I also can’t find the option to save camera photos to an SD card. But so far, I like this break from social media, the internet, and the flood of notifications. I’ve installed the most necessary apps, although I don’t fully understand them yet because most downloadable apps are in APKM format, while Mudita only supports APK. You have to search very hard to find apps in APK format, or I don’t know of any good sources.
An APKM file is a specialized, bundled format created by APKMirror containing multiple split APKs, requiring the APKMirror Installer app to install, whereas a standard APK is a single file installable directly by Android. Have you tried downloading the Aurora store & getting your apps directly from there?
I haven’t tried it.
I wanted to ask if it will be possible to delete apps in the future? This is planned?
Yes that’s planned.

What are you talking about lol, every app distributed anywhere ever is in APK format
When I download apps from sites like APKMirror or APKPure, the apps are in XAPK or APKM format. Do you know of any sites that offer direct downloads in APK format?
@coffeeboy96: F-Droid . org offers direct downloads in APK format, although F-Droid recommends that you download and install its APK and then use that app (the F-Droid client) to download and install everything else that is available at F-Droid:
Thanks for the reply! And apologies, I wasn’t very clear in my initial note.
The problem, in my experience, lies in the “Adaptive brightness” feature. I love the idea of “Adaptive brightness” but don’t use it because…
I’ve found, in the dark, that the lowest brightness settings are sufficient for me. I’ve also found I need no backlight when I’m in the sun. I would love for these settings to engage automatically depending on my environment.
Hope this helps. ![]()
Thanks again!
There is an app called duraspeed on the kompakt that will aggressively kill any app that is actively slowing down the phone or drawing too much battery. Additionally, android will terminate backgrounded apps automatically unless they’re explicitly allowed to run unrestricted.
This would be nice to have
