How are the offline maps in the Maps updated? We have a new highway nearby, it was in the OSM maps from the day one, but it does not exist in my Kompakt.
@michalmaria I’ve reached out to our team about this. However, I just want to make sure that we’re on the same page about the issues:
Are you saying that this new highway is on the OSM maps (like their app) however it’s not on the Mudita Kompakt Maps app?
It’s present in the official app (openstreetmap.org), as well as in other apps that are using their maps (e.g. OsmAnd). In the Mudita Kompakt Maps app it’s displayed as only “in construction” and navigation routes are not taking it into consideration.
@michalmaria I reached out to our team & they informed me that as you mentioned, our Mudita Kompakt native Maps app is based on OpenStreetMap data, but before the data reaches Mudita Kompakt it goes through our own map-creation process, where the data is prepared and divided into regions and countries.
We’re currently in the proces of creating an updated version of our map creator will allow us to release map updates more frequently going forward.
Once this is in place, recent changes like the new highway you mentioned should be reflected in future updates. Thanks for your patience, and for keeping an eye on map accuracy.
Expect Map updates once a month or so. If you want the latest OSM data, download and sideload the OSM app.
