Hello I wanted to share an app I came across which seems to work very well so far. It adds the pull down notification bar and also pop up notifications. I have it set to where I swipe up from the bottom to trigger the bar to drop from the top since if you pull down from the top it opens that quick settings screen that the 3rd bottom button also opens. I still would prefer mudita to natively add the notifications without relying on a app…
@jordan Thanks for this. I’m sure this will help a lot of users.
I second that preference.
Think of all the customizations that one can make to the Kompakt simply to work around bugs and basic-but-missing features … and then how difficult it would be to reconstruct those customizations on a replacement Kompakt!
Thank you @jordan for sharing the information about that app, I will definitely check it out
No problem!!
I also was wondering how much extra battery they eat up too
My pleasure!
just download from aurora store, lets test
Anyone know of a similar but open source app? I couldn’t find anything…
I would check out the Play Store information before installing this. The dev seems to have dozens of junky apps and they’re all loaded with ads. Based on the reviews, the paid version of this app is anywhere from $15 to $25 USD per WEEK. I’m not sure which features are included in the free version, but the ads alone mean it’s not for me.
Edit: I’m using NotificationLog as suggested by another user in this forum. It’s not as convenient (you have to open the app instead of swiping), but it works. I’m going to try a few other things I see on F-Droid as well.
I havent got hit with any ads in the status bar/notifications
Good to know Hope it stays that way!
@jordan is this workaround still working for you?
Yep! It seems to be working great. I wish they do natively add normal notifications back in the os.
