Hi! i would love to add here a few notes regarding some apps preinstalled on this beautiful phone u made, I will slowly add more questions as I spend more user time with it.
1st.NOTE
We have the Calendar, which is ok, but I don’t find an intuitive way to add an alert on it, So far is just a calendar! It is kind of frustrating not to be able to use it. Same for other apps… they are there, but they don’t offer some very basic features. Maybe its me who couldn’t find a way to add something like a simple appointment for the doctor, and it is already possible to add a note, however… they power of your phone would be really based in the simplicity and that simplicity also based in the power of the simple intuition based in user experience after so many yers of smartphones.
Thank you

Yeah I agree , needed to see much more progress right away. Pure had the same issue, calendar and you could do nothing with it, and now from what I have seen in early reviews the calendar is again with its issues, need to see quick progress in this area Mudita team!
So if I understand you correctly you are able to put in any events? Seems like this might be something you are missing from your end because I have seen reviews showing the ability to add events on you tube

These are the current features.
Time can only be set by 15 mins.
No repeating events. Cannot change the reminder length.
However there have been many people writing about their “notes for the developers”, soon everyone can have their own personal threads here.

I sure hope we get more control with this especially repeated events and choosing all of the time options!

Just tested. This is how the 5 min reminder and the actual event reminder look like (same). Both of the times with a simple gong sound effect.

Having just a 5 min reminder is silly lol, I need more notice than that say for example if I have a Dr’s appointment I have to drive too, if I get that alert 5 mins before I am going to be speeding to get there!

Is the reminder loud enough for you to hear? Same with phone calls can you hear them while you are out and about? I remember this was a major issue with the Pure the speaker was garbage and you could not hear the ringtones

OK so once u are in the calendar, how do you cyivatye a new event? there’s no even an icon to create an event, even by double tapping or holding pressing… so you tell me

I wouldn’t say so and it is really just one simple gong, easy to ignore. The phone calls part I cannot comment on yet.

You tap on the big plus button in the bottom right corner.

OK, I just found out what’s going on,. I have. Olaumcher as main screen app . When you configure this app, it allows you to choose the applications that you want on the front page, and when you choose calendar, it seems that there are two calendars ! There exactly the same except for one difference, one of them has no plus button! I wanna try to upload some pictures now

I got 50% volume, phone calls and sms notifications are loud enough, no issues with hearing it even when im in other room. At 50% volume they do not have much distortions, although on higher volumes its more of distortion than actual notification sounds so it is something that will definitely bring your attention to the phone

The other calendar is the default AOSP calendar (it doesn’t allow events). There’s also the default AOSP clock still there. I assume they didn’t remove them as they might be vital to some phone functionality.
So they created their own alarm/calendar apps that are optimized for E-ink screen. But I have they update them for more functionality.

@minimalist4life
It work fine for me. You also get a reminder that the event is coming up.
