Not compatible with all American services

@sebastianbeland99, like we discussed in the DMs, what you probably encountered was the fact that the sales reps were not familiar with the phone & just didn’t really want to help you set it up.
Here’s a first-hand experience from a user who was able to get things working with Verizon:

Here is the streamlined version of what worked for this USER:
1. Visit a Verizon store
Explain that you want to activate a new line using a physical SIM card.
2. Ask the staff to test the Kompakt with a Verizon test SIM
This helps build confidence that the device can place/receive calls and send/receive texts. Several users noted this step makes staff more willing to help.
3. Activate your new physical SIM in a Verizon-recognized device
Verizon requires the initial activation to happen in a phone already in their database.
If you don’t have one, reps can often use an in-store demo phone. Once activated, move the SIM into your Kompakt.
4. Check the APN settings
Go to: Settings → Network & Internet → Your network
For Verizon, the APN should appear as:
APN: vzwinternet
APN type: default,dun
Some Verizon fields (like MMSC and MMS port) are locked from editing, but default MMS settings appear to function. Photo MMS worked as expected. Short video MMS shows the preview but may display “file type not supported,” which is normal for unsupported media formats. And Mudita Kompakt does not support video messages.
(Note: The user was on MuditaOS K 1.3.0 because 1.4.0 had not yet appeared. MMS behavior may vary depending on OS version.)
5. Test calls
Both inbound and outbound calls worked immediately.
6. Test SMS
Individual texts worked right away.
Receiving texts required a phone restart and up to one hour of network provisioning time.
7. Test group texts
The user could not test this because 1.4.0 was not yet available on their device.
8. Enable and test Wi-Fi Calling
Go to: Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network → Advanced → Wi-Fi Calling
Connect to a Wi-Fi network and confirm it works.
Extra note from the user:
They offered a small tip to the Verizon rep for helping with an unusual activation request. Not necessary, but it made the experience smoother.
