No emoji access after 1.5.0 update

Hi everyone,
I updated to MuditaOS K 1.5.0 a few days ago. The typing has certainly improved, although I came across an issue: Emoji access is completely gone from the new keyboard.

I’ve tried:

  • Long pressing the space bar

  • Long pressing the punctuation/special characters key

  • Checking Settings → Keyboard for any emoji toggle

I don’t see a smiley face icon anywhere on the new keyboard layout either.

This seems like a regression introduced with the keyboard redesign in 1.5.0. Would love to know if there’s a workaround, or if this is being addressed in an upcoming patch.

Thanks!

Long press the bottom right enter key and you’ll find the emoji menu pop up :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

If I long press on the lock screen lock, nothing happens.

Why are you long pressing on the lock screen?

That function is not on the roadmap as of now, but I will pass it on to the team.
