@anon55458152: You are correct that it HAS been confirmed that there IS turn-by-turn navigation in the Map app. Yay!
Although the Map app lacks live-traffic updates, I now plan NOT to sideload Magic Earth (which has those updates), given that I see the Map app on the Kompakt as a backup to what I use regularly when driving – a Garmin DriveSmart 65 with HD Traffic.
