I just got my mudita Kompakt yesterday, It is running OS K version from 26 mar 2025 (1.0.0). I really want to update so I can have turn by turn directions In maps. Every time I try the updater it says it’s “up to date” but I know the new OS 1.2 is available. I have restarted the phone numerous times, done a factory reset, but still it’s not allowing me to update, or not pushing the update to my phone. I tried the mudita center and can’t update from there. Any advice? I’m I stuck with this old OS? I don’t want to return the phone, but it’s been a couple days and no update is available to me. Please advise, thank you

Did you follow these instructions: How to update Kompakt - Kompakt Quick Start Guide. Updating to K1.2 is a two-step process, which will take some time (but it continues on the background). Make sure your battery is charged sufficiently and you have an internet connection. It wil first have to update from K1.0 to K1.0.1 and when that’s complete you can update to K1.2. I’ve received 3 Kompakts over the past two weeks, and they all updated flawless.

Thanks for sending some info and I appreciate the help. I tried that, just did another factory reset and reset the phone. Phone is fully charged, This is my third reset. It is still saying my phone is up to date as of 26 march of 2025. I have reached out to support days ago with no answer. It is not pushing any updates to my phone after resets and restarts. I think I have 14 days to return the phone so if I can’t figure it out I may go that route. Maybe they can send a new one? I’m not sure until I hear back from suppport.

@claytonconifer I’m so sorry that you’re experiencing issues. Can you tell me what version of MuditaOS K you’re currently running on your device.
Go to SETTINGS>>>>>>ABOUT
You will then be able to see the which version you have.

! When i go to settings >> about , it says my version is MuditaOS K 1.0.0.

Thanks @urszula , I appreciate it. I would love to give the phone a try, but don’t want a non update-able version. Haha. If I need to get a replacement I’d be interested. I also put a ticket in a few days ago so you should have my email. Thanks!

@claytonconifer Can you check your IMEI from Settings >> About & send it to me via DM. We’re checking on all the specs in the phone.
Hi urszula, I try to come in through the back door @ I am using my mudita kompakt since summer (K 1.2.0) and never received any update messages. So since I realized that there is an update to version 1.3.0 available I try to install but it doesn’t work. So I need your help. I never saw any updating messages on my main screen and my updater app does not work, there is an error message instead of starting. what to do?

On top you should see a SOFTWARE UPDATE section. Click on that & let me know what it says.

Hi Urszula,
when reporting my update problems to you recently, I changed the user interface form German to English, to give you a recognisable screenshot @
When switching back to German my KompaktOS Keyboard App crashed and I always get those Close App Buttons (this App does not work anymore)
So I cannot SMS now nor use my Notes actually - Help!

meanwhile I did a factory reset, restored my data from recent backup and everything is running again.
