Mudita Tablet Ereader?

This is a bit of a daydream post, but I would really like to see Mudita put out an eink tablet, something like the products put out by Boox but simpler and more privacy focused. I’ve been wanting an eink tablet for around a year now, something I can read books on and take notes with, but my current options don’t thrill me. Remarkable requires a subscription to keep accessing your documents (ew!) and Boox is just running Android, so it’s not particularly safety-focused. I’ve been greatly enjoying my Kompakt and it would be really cool to have a tablet-sized version I could attach a bluetooth keyboard to. Wouldn’t need to be as fancy as the products some other companies put out, I don’t need a browser or anything like that. Just a full-sized screen for reading books and the ability to sideload my preferred notetaking app (Obsidian).

Anyone else out there who would love to see a Mudita tablet?

Definitely makes sense for them to make one. It fits into their product line up for sure.

I’ve been dreaming of one for years :thought_balloon:

The design of the new Kindle Scribe looks pretty neat, I could almost imagine a Mudita logo on it

Yes! I am a reader and a writer, and I don’t like having to continue using my laptop when it can be so annoying to pull out on a trip.

Mudita logo sticker on the Kindle? - cost effective and you know the Kindle works out of the box?
For years iPhones came with an Apple logo sticker.

I am very satisfied with my Supernote Manta (though if its mainly used for reading it could be annoying not having a backlight)

How’s the security on that? Part of what’s keeping me from getting a Boox is it’s just running Android and while I don’t plan to do much with the tablet (and Obsidian is an encrypted app) I still like to play it safe where I can.

You should be able to find that out on their reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Supernote/

I am using the Manta for therapy sessions and do not connect it to the internet but I think as long as you’re not using their cloud (dont know about safety here) it should be pretty safe. But please tell me if you find out otherwise.

I admit I love the Kompakt’s, well, compact-ness, but I do have kinda small hands lol

I think this would be an excellent idea, actually. Owning the kompakt has helped tremendously with focus, feeling more present and calm in my mind.
Sometimes when I do want/need to read something online, I grab my laptop (which I don’t like).

An e-ink tablet would lie around the living room and we’d use it with the entire family for some browsing or calm learning apps (or organizing, recipes, grocery lists with the homie app synced up).

I have been thinking about purchasing this, but most of the companies offering such a device look like dubious companies and the devices come with bloatware.
If mudita where ever to release such a device I would definitely buy it.

Just my two cents!
