I am just wondering what happened to last mudita pure feature of using VOLTE?
I assume that could enable use of 4G LTE Internet for calls and even SMS instead of direct charge?
That is very nice and most welcome feature since we all have some Internet on prepaid or postpaid and saves money.
Is it implemented? Is remaining data metered somewhere (or can it be putted and seen?)
What is experience of those who have tried it? It might be savior since phone needs much better reception for voice call then for even 3G speed data exchange?
@RasVoja Outside of the US, Mudita Pure has VoLTE capabilities in Poland, Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Canada and Austria. Other than those countries, it’s 3G baby
Thanks for asking! I’m not sure if you are aware but VoLTE stands for Voice over LTE. It’s a technology that allows voice calls to be carried over a 4G LTE. It cannot be used for any other purpose and as mentioned by Ula it is implemented for some of the countries.
OK thanks, I see SMS nowadays on Android also can go over Internet.
Well voice over Internet is savy for international calls, prepaid users and even roaming.
Can I hope A1 Group will be added? Its operator quite common in Central and Eastern Europe?
parent company is Telekom Austria
The A1 Group is active in Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia
https://a1.group/a1-group-and-markets/a1-in-serbia/
But its 3G used? Or no volte (requires at least 4G)
Is it country or provider related? (the list where LTE works)., LTE is supported by my operator. Thanks.
VoLTE must be implemented in cooperation with an operator, hence the list of countries. VoLTE will not function in countries not on this list, which means if there is no 2G or 3G coverage but only 4G, the Pure will not be able to receive or make calls.
Volte exists with my operator, just as expected pure is not listed
Link in Serbian
Should this give me hope volte on pure will work?.
OK Lets hope testing with, by matter of chance, Austrian provider in Serbia, will succeed. Wil let you know as soon as it passes customs.
As advised, I have bought a brand new prepaid nano SIM for testing.
