Please bring back the Mudita name and logo on the lock screen.

Hi @smuch , welcome to the Mudita Community Forum and congrats on your first post. If I recall correctly, not everyone was a fan of the logo on the lock screen, that’s why they removed it. But I’m totally with you on this one, I’d rather see the logo than the current lock pad. There’s a long list with user whishes and somewhere on that (at least I hope so) is the whish I expressed months ago to being the logo back as an option or even make the entire lock screen customizable. I doubt however whether it’s high on the list of priorities, currently, cause Mudita has a major release of MuditaOS K coming and apparently Mudita Center 4.0.0 requires some.last finish touches as well.

I miss the logo too to be honest and I’m also hoping for ways to customize the lock screen in the future.

Custom lock screen is coming. We removed it in a previous update because there were uses who did not like it & wanted a blank screen. So, this is a classic case of “You don’t appreciate what you have until it’s gone :)”

I think I missed the ‘next update’ part, so to manage my expectations I’ve just read ‘in a future release’, which is fine by me. Until the final release notes for Mudita OS K 1.5.0 are published, we won’t know exactly what fixes, changes and surprises it will bring.

In this forum there are posts about the Kompakt phone e-ink screen quality.
I curious why the logo was on earlier OS versions, then removed?
Was the logo getting burned into the e-ink screen?

many didnt like the idea of having a large logo/branding always on the lock screen. it was just a preference thing.

I think it would be more interesting to simply be able to choose a personal image. I think it would also be easy to implement. Let’s see if this nice feature comes with the new update.

Or we can put something useful like a monthly calendar. static.
so we have the ability to see the hole month in the lock screen.

@smuch There were some community members that did not like the logo. They said that they did not want to look at branding while their phone was not being used. As a result our team made the decision to remove it.
