I would like to ask if a scanned qr-code does lead to an external website, like to a digitial reciep of an fastfood restaurant, will work on the kompakt?
I know it is a little specific, but i don’t see the reason to print a recipe that is discarded in a minute as paperwaste. Or am i missing something? Hidden server costs?
the camera will be able to scan. But my question would be if the generated qr-code will lead to an actual website and what does the kompakt do with these type of codes
You can scan QR-codes with Mudita Kompakt to e.g. seamlessly connect to WiFi access point or connect an eSIM to your device.
Also- I used it to scan the QR code to use WhatsApp on the computer as well.
@tobi, based on @urszula’s helpful response, you should not expect to use QR-code scanning to open a website, given that the Mudita Kompakt has no browser.
@kirkmahoneyphd There is a WebView that does open up. It’s not for browsing, but it does open up a page, if, for instance, you need to connect to airport WiFi (you know to check that you agree to terms & conditions etc.)
