Maps will be offline, updates for Kompakt server. They used some app but optimized. No data transfer, offline only (privacy oriented but no comments ratings just navig) like GPS

- Banking apps, NFC … NFC is supported by hardware. but banking apps will not be avail via Store. You can sideload but if you get an APK, not recommended. They think of it in future. QR codes can be used
- and paying on QR is possible and will be done by Mudita likely.
Signal, WhatsApp work!!! Sideloaded but with worse exp since not designed for e-ink
Spotify works but I am more intersted in mp3
CEO sais Mudita will develop its own messanger
UI done for e ink with ghosting, so UI minimizes effect (better then Pure)

WhatsApp invades privacy, so let’s see what Mudita does – if anything – to prevent WhatsApp from invading a Kompakt user’s privacy.

Hey, jumping in to correct a few things, as @RasVoja is very active 
We want to ensure the comments above align with our actual position:
- Replaceable Battery: Yes, the battery is replaceable, but not easily by the end user.
- Banking Apps: We can’t take responsibility for the performance of third-party apps other than those preinstalled on Kompakt or provided by Mudita which is why we don’t recommend sideloading (but its up to the user)
- Messaging App: Michał shared his personal thoughts (that he’d love for us to have our own messaging app). We’re currently evaluating options. Several apps, including WhatsApp, have been tested, but we haven’t made a final decision on if/which will be natively supported.
- Languages: The 8 languages listed on the Kickstarter page are supported, along with special characters. More languages will be added over time.
- Battery (3300 mAh): We’ve stated 6 days of standby time so far, but current testing is showing even higher numbers. We’ll share updates once we’ve finalized testing. Just to clarify, the mention of 40 days was purely a comparison to the development progress of Mudita Harmony (which shows we can)

It was very hood, I managed to catch it live too. Thanks to all involved and José, your microphone was absolutely fine. And I’m proud to say that I’m one of those people who still use the Mudita Pure, I still love that phone.

Since I had two weeks test due to limited Outlet guarantee, and team does not want to work a bit more on software and cant provide contact with battery manufacturer, I decided its too risky to keep it. Software has wastly improved since 2021 but few done things are left unfinished.
But if small fixes are introduced and outlet price dropped to 200 USD I am willing to buy it again, no returns

My only problems with the Pure were the drop in signal from time to time, although this has much improved recently. And also the media player is not great. But the aesthetics and minimalism of the Pure is a pleasure to use. I am looking forward to more of the same and better with the Mudita Kompakt.

I beg for T9, Large fonts, improved dark theme, calendar events and note edit from Center. And battery contact. But no go.
Prob is not loosing signal its not getting reception back when you step outdoor or find spot with better reception. You need to reset. This is software thing.
I find Pure way better product in its own merits and category and more expensive since its made in EU. But needs to be given some more love.
Kompakt is really cheap for eink smart but software will be hard way, like camera no video for now etc.
Also restrictive shipping of both kills the market.
Pure is best dumbie, if fixed and down to 200 USD it would sell good.

I keep forgetting to ask and the discussion on scratch-resistance reminded me, does the Kompakt have a glass screen or a plastic one?

E ink screen is durable per se, CEO promised some ratings.
I believe phone has most basic dust and water IPxx but lets hear it offiicial.
Its a bit &%$!$! detailed specs that were present for all Mudita products are still hidden and given drop by drop.
Maybe because for smatries it aint so good compared to 2024 300e phones. But Yota 2 died, HiSense is only on ebay and no default play store, so I would compare to them.`
