Which one did you pick?
I picked Pebble Gray to match the color of the Kompakt that I ordered on Kickstarter. But, those photos make me wonder whether it will be too dark. Then again, the white case in the second photo looks somewhat gray, so…!
I did not order one but after seeing the pebble grey case I want one lol, Ursula you said I could still reach out to support to see if I can get one shipped with my kickstarter order right?
@kirkmahoneyphd these are the Natural White & Pebble Grey cases. The other color is a beige/sand color.
The beige looks
I probably reach out via Mail to change it from the black one I picked.
@miauzgenau 100%, Sand Beige looks amazing. Need to switch mine over
Oh, good. Then I continue to like Pebble Grey, which is what I incorrectly assumed that the first photograph was showing.
If a neon yellow or green becomes available before shipping, then I would prefer that – for its “findability” in a typical environment filled with black objects.
These look quality! I am sticking with my Pebble Grey.
Thanks! I continue to like Pebble Grey.
Question: Will Mudita be releasing the cases in the other colors (such as a green) that appeared in the Kickstarter campaign? (I was not a fan of any of those colors, but I am curious as to whether the above four main colors comprise the complete set in Mudita’s current plan.)
@kirkmahoneyphd Yes, when I get those pictures, I will post those as well. They will also be available for purchase in our online store.
Is a case included with the phone?
nope you have to order it extra
That’s a shame I don’t know if I can order in time.
I have ordered Kompakt on Kickstarter. But I did not anything else. I we go minimal in life, why we need cases, special covers, extra glass… it should be just good reliable one device
It’s less about minimalism and more about protecting the device and making it last longer.
It is personal preference, to me the phones looks very durable, the case is more if you want it to be in perfect condition without a nick on it, I bet you if this phone is dropped without a case it will not break, I honestly usually get a case but always end up taking it off lol, devices just feel better without the case on, I usually end up getting one and putting it only when I am outdoors hiking, other than that with my light phone for example it has no case on it and just feels very nice in the hand, and I know the Kompakt will feel nice in the hand as well.
I think a screen protector is much more important than an external case because it does not effect the feel of the device and gives it that extra protection from a screen crack which is way more annoying then have scuffs and dings on the exterior of the phone
I have found the opposite to be true. One of my cellphones’ screens cracked WITH a screen protector supposedly protecting it.
In contrast, my Pixel 6, which has no screen protector but does have a silicone, cushioning case, fell six feet onto a terrazzo floor and suffered neither a scratch nor a crack in its screen.
These experiences explain why I ordered the silicone case and not the screen protector for the Kompakt.
I experience hand gripping issues now and then so a good case helps me to grip the phone and be far less likely to drop it.
Also if you pop your phone in a bag with keys or pens or whatever it can get a bit dirty and maybe scratched, so having a cosy protective home for the phone can be a great idea…
