what am I supposed to be able to do within Mudita Center when it comes to Contacts? I managed to import them (used Export Contact Pro on iOS to get a .csv file) , but when I imported that .csv file all that came in was firstname, lastname, and company. No phone numbers. no notes. nothing else. There is no document that tells me what columns need to be available on my .csv import

Then when the contacts are listed in Mudita Center 3.0.1 I can’t even edit them. I can edit them on my phone.

I’m using the Mudita Centre update for managing the Kompakt, are there plans to facilitate music management on there? I cannot seem to upload music, I am currently doing it through file management.

Bugs in 3.0.1 found so far:

  • launches >30 sec (unacceptable on Mac M2 Pro)
  • double/trippled contacts
  • cannot edit contacts
  • manage files option can only delete, no option to transfer or view a file

@jeremyarnold Our team has successfully imported contacts with note from CSV as well as from VCard.
Can we ask for an example contact? (you can send it in a DM) It can be unsupported content of the message, or CSV prepared by Export Contact Pro is incompatible with Android based phones. I’m attaching an example of supported VCard and CSV for reference of columns.

Seems like Mudita Center is not a native Apple Silicon application. It takes ages to open on my Mac Mini M4.

This should be addressed ASAP in my opinion.

Is it an Elektron app? I thought that was how they managed to support all three OSes – Win, Mac and Linux.

Yeah, I wanted to ask the same. It takes ~30-45sec to open. Not good, but we do not have to deal with the app frequently…

@simonepsp No, Mudita Center is not native for Apple. Our team has said that we do not plan to release a native version of the Mudita Center app for macOS that (works only with Macs) is optimized for Apple Silicon (M1/M2 chips) and does not require Rosetta 2 . We’re sorry if this might be an inconvenience.

@urszula So, it sounds as though the Mudita developers are only prepared to produce an Electron binary for the Mudita Centre app for the x86-64 architecture. Macs with Rosetta2 will run this, but with significantly degraded performance.

Why don’t they simply produce a binary for the Arm architecture? The underlying code would remain uniform. I don’t understand the reluctance. Please explain.

thanks . Sharing the format for the import of the .csv file really helps.

I’ll use this to manipulate my own contacts.
