Seems like Kit likes the Kompakt’s potential but finds it too lacking at the moment. His biggest complaint is lack of whatsapp (which can be installed, he was just using stock) and that it can’t fully replace a smart phone.

isn’t that kind of the point i want something somewhere in the middle, a little flexibility where needed (installing signal etc.), able to take a quick pic, check an address, but designed not to be a ‘smart phone’. i dont want notifications, web browsers, app store, excessive games, etc.
he makes a good point on the screen modes (or currently lack of), would be nice to have. hes also right, itll be made or broken by how the software improves over time

Kompakt is not meant to fully replace a smartphone. It’s a Minimalist phone that’s suppose to be an option to step away from all the connectivity.
