Looking for the Best Way to Gift Audiobooks

I was planning to gift an Audible gift card to a friend who loves audiobooks, but after searching everywhere, I realized that Audible doesn’t actually sell gift cards. The only official options seem to be:

  1. Gifting an Audible membership – It’s a great option, but a bit pricey. Plus, all the credits expire after 12 months.
  2. Sending a specific audiobook as a gift – This works, but it’s limited because the audiobook stays locked in the Audible app.

Both options are okay, but I was hoping for something more flexible—like a way to share audiobooks without expiration dates or app restrictions. I came across something called an Audible converter(shown in below) that lets you download audiobooks to MP3 so they can be played on any device, even without the Audible app. That sounds like a perfect solution if you want to share audiobooks freely.

Has anyone tried this? Or does anyone know of other ways to gift Audible books without using credits or memberships? Would love to hear your thoughts!
