Larger text size across the Kompakt UI

A request for the Kompakt UI team to provide a systemwide setting to increase text font size, perhaps as part of accessibility settings. Including on the keyboard! Thank you for listening.

@meditate Thank you for the feedback. I will pass this on to the team.

I second this.
Some text is currently very, very small. However, given the type of display and the resolution, I suspect it wouldn’t be that easy to implement larger text.

Another observation:
The indicators for SIM 1 and SIM 2 in the status bar aren’t too large, but there is very little space available for them anyway. When entering the PIN after the phone boots up, there would be enough room to distinguish more clearly between SIM 1 and SIM 2; right now, there are only tiny dots or dashes—for instance, an inverted “1” or “2” inside the SIM card icon, a number placed before or after it, or simply making the dots / dashes larger and more distinct.

@meditate It already exists, it’s just a little hidden. If you have Developer Options enabled, go to it and click on the search icon. Type in “bold text” and click on the option that appears. Now, you will have the option to change font size and display size. Be careful, though—changing the size can cause some options/words to appear off the screen.

That’s a very important point. When I passed this on to the team, I mentioned that it would be great that everything would go with scale.

Thank you, I tried it! Indeed, the devs need to put in some care to make sure the larger text sizes still work well across the UI. I had to go back to the smaller font for this reason.

I will add my voice also! Yes, please! This would make using the phone so much better! I have a slight vision disability so the e-ink is super. BUT I cannot effectively handle the text size on screen. That reduces the usability of the phone significantly for me.

@radiantgaze Thank you for your feedback. I will make sure the UX/UI team sees it. I can’t promise anything, but I can make sure I pass the community’s feedback along.
