KompaktX is an extended-feature overlay for the Mudita Kompakt.
The Kompakt is intentionally minimal out of the box, but that simplicity can introduce some friction in daily use. There’s no notification shade, no heads-up popups, eink refresh modes, app recents, and no way to import custom ringtones.
KompaktX fills those gaps with a lightweight layer designed specifically for eink. It sticks to pure black and white—no grayscale.

Pull-down notification tray with multiple trigger options (edge swipe, pull-up gesture, or hardware button remap)
Heads-up notification popups with inline replies and action buttons
Quick toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, torch, brightness, and eink modes
Recent apps view (inline row or dedicated tab)
Hardware shortcut remapping (long-press or double-tap Recents, long-press Back, volume long-press for media skip)
Manual eink refresh button to clear ghosting on demand
Custom ringtone, notification, and alarm import
Light, Dark, and Follow-System themes (all pure black and white)
Per-app filters to hide noisy apps from the tray or recents
Amazing app! been using since release and it has greatly improved my functionality of the device! I love how nicely it works with the stock Mudita OS and it adds everything I was looking for without adding a bunch of extra stuff to get distracted by! great work!

It missing only one little thing : can you add a button to toggle the localisation in the settings menu ?
It’s hard to acces in the stock mudita K Os. It would be nice to able to switch it rapidely.
Hi ! Thanks for this great work ! I have an issue… is it possible to have notification indicator on the lockscreen and/or on the homepage ; or must we pull the notification tray shortcut each time ? Probably it’s just a question of habit, and probably a good thing in order to keep the initial philosophy of the phone
