KompaktCalendar is an Android calendar application inspired by the Kompakt’s Native Calendar app, but enhanced with more functionality:
Features
Month view — scrollable calendar grid with event indicators, ISO week numbers, and configurable week start day
Day view — 3 switchable time windows (midnight–noon, 8 am–8 pm, noon–midnight) with a live current-time indicator that updates every 30 seconds; supports horizontal scrolling when more than 2 events overlap
Agenda view — upcoming events for the next 3 months, jump-scroll list with e-ink scrollbar
Notifications — own AlarmManager-based alarm stack; fires a reminder notifications before and a notification at event start; can be snoozed; survives device reboot
Full-screen event alert — at event start time a dedicated full-screen activity launches, waking the screen and bypassing the lock screen so the alert is visible even when the phone is sleeping
Search — full-text search across title, description, and location
Loving this app so far! Just want to ask how the PC Sync settings work? I see on the bottom that it can sync with Gcal, but I don’t know how to do that. Thanks!
I looked at the instructions on the codeberg page and you have to use DAVx5 to sync.
However, I tried to sync with google which resulted in “Acess Blocked: DAVx5’s request does not comply with Google’s policies”
It goes on to say it doesn’t comply with Google’s “Use secure browsers” policy, so maybe it’s because I’m using whatever this MK stock browser is, “WebView Browser Tester”… It also states Error 403: disallowed_useragent.
I’m just struggling a bit with my many calendars: I have the work one, the home one, the family one, my own, etc. Took me a while to figure out that when there are too many calendar events on a day, you have to swipe left and right to see the others. It would be nice to see them all on the same page anyway. It would also be nice to be able to easily toggle calendars.
I like your app very much, so do I your other apps I use.
Just one minor thing that is a little annoying and can be fixed with an easy setting.
Can you please include a setting for favourite view, many other calendar apps have this included.
I use the agenda view only and always have to switch view when opening the app. That’s the only thing keeping me from using your app exclusively. Atm I use etar only because of this. Your app is more optimized for the kompakt and I would love to use it exclusively.
Otherwise it is a simple, light calendar app perfectly optimized for eink devices! Thank your for your work. Your apps are super cool and useful because many normal android apps have bad theming regarding eink!
I successfully installed version 1.0 via Obtanium. I’ve tried to update to 1.1.1 and it appears to download and install it, but it doesn’t.t version 1.0 seems to work fine. Does anyone know why?
