Kompakt with the first e-ink phone

I just wanted to share my tiny e-ink phone collection. I believe the Motofone F3 is the first e-ink phone (according to Wikipedia). I found Mudita a few months ago when I was looking for a phone like it. Sadly, the F3 is 2G and impossible to get service for these days.

I used to Tweet through text message on the Motofone back in the day. I am having a great time with my Kompakt. I wasn’t going to sideload apps at first, but it’s actually been fun stretching the device’s capabilities with a few extra apps. Even so, my screen time is way down since I got it.

I had a Moto Rokr back around 2007/08 and that F3 looks like an eink version of that. Really cool! Just bring that to market with android 15 and take my money.

Haha yeah take my money too! I didn’t have the Rokr at that time, but I had the Slvr. I recently learned those phones were called 4ltr (four letter) series. Like the RAZR, ROKR, PEBL, SLVR, RIZR, FONE, etc. It was a cool time for phones.
