[Kompakt] How can I connect to an existing Bluetooth device or forget a device?

I have a pair of headphones that always connects to the device it most recently paired with. I need to forget it from my Kompakt and re-pair.

Alternatively, I need a way to connect to a device I’ve previously paired with. But I can’t find the list of devices anywhere.

Thanks for your help!

This is going to sound dumb, but apparently there is no such feature yet. In July the bluetooth functionality will be updated and I’d expect this to be present.

Oh, wow. That means I can’t use my headphones until the update. Well, thanks for your help.

I reset the headphones thinking it was an issue with them, so now the Kompakt remembers them somewhere, but the headphones will never connect automatically… And the Kompakt has no menu for it. Wow.

One user has suggested Bluetooth Audio Connect Widget from AuroraStore to be able to reconnect/delete devices.

Personally I’m using my earphone companion app (Nothing X) and I’m able to reconnect.

Mudita made the decision to make they own e-ink optimized OS. Unfortunately this means the phone still lacks in basic functionality. I do expect most of these issues to be updated though. Of course a more polished product by Mudita would have been preferred.

I would say this error is due to poor testing and not because they optimized the OS for Eink. There was no reason to remove such a Dialog from the Bluetooth settings.

I believe those things go hand in hand. A lot of functionality has been ripped out, with the remaining functionality having a custom interface. This takes time and I believe they ran out of time before they had to ship the phone, which meant there was no proper testing of basic functionality.

For a lot of the other bugs/shortcoming yes I agree. But this one specifically bothered to test it. The bug is very easy to replicate, disconnect your bluetooth device and it happens.

It takes more time to strip existing functionality, than to skin it. That’s why for this one in particular there’s can’t be the excuse of time.

I’ll chime into this thread- Yes, we have some Bluetooth bugs which are currently being ironed out & they will be fixed in a future update.
