This morning, my alarm went off 5 minutes after the time I set it (and not at the set time). I remember someone else mentiioning it, although now can’t find the thread). Is this a know bug? Any fixes, or simply contact Mudita?
I also cannot find a way of making the alarm go off without vibrating. I want vibration on for calls and messages, but not alarm as it’s too intrusive a noise in a quiet house. Have I missed something or is there simply no way of having vibration on for one thing and off for another?
In my opinion the sound settings need an improve ASAP. The ring and notification volume need to be separated and we need to be able to turn off vibration for notifications too. Truthfully, it is kind of frustrating to deal with issues I thought we had left behind in 2009/2010. Not knowing if and when this will be changed is a bit stress inducing too. Part of a minimalist experience in my opinion is knowing core components of the phone just work. Now I’m not doom scrolling, but I am having to tinker with the device and/or having to interact with Mudita to get their attention. At the same time I bought an absolute niche device so I guess this experience is to be expected. So we will ride it out either way!
I think it has been discussed before that separate ring and notification has only been available on android since Android 13/14. So what we have on the Mudita is the standard AOSP 12 volume system. I checked at home on Android 11 I don’t have it separately, neither on 13.
However nothing is stopping Mudita from implementing this
Please free Aristotle from the alarm clock. We all know the quote is code for “please free me from this timely prison. You can do so by rubbing the side of it a couple times. Thx, ya boy, Aristotle, or 'Totles for short”.
