I didn’t know whether there was an existing thread to suggest small changes like this, so just wanted to post to make the request to remove the emoji button from the standard keyboard layout. I don’t use emojis at all yet find myself accidentally hitting the emoji button many times per day while intending to press the space bar, and typing several random emojis into a text due to the E-ink screen lag. It is not a huge thing but is definitely becoming annoying and would hopefully be simple to implement in the Keyboard area of the settings app. Thanks for your time!

Hi Urszula, were emojis removed from the keyboard in update 1.5.0? They are no longer on my keyboard. I miss them.

I see that it actually is possible to send emojis. But having to press “Long press Return Key” is just not very user-friendly… It would be more logical if there was an emoji-simple stock to the keyboard. Maybe in between “numbers” and the long middle key?

Personally, I prefer to access emoji this way. Long-press RETURN feels sensible to me.
