KDE connect — Community App Review
Version: 1.35.9

We obviously need to mention KDE connect, by the KDE community. It’s an utility to share contents between the Kompakt and your laptop (works best on Linux, and Windows. Mac is sometimes fiddly).
Check out f-droid for the latest version:

From the description:

  • Transfer files between your devices.
  • Access files on your phone from your computer, without wires.
  • Shared clipboard: copy and paste between your devices.
  • Get notifications for incoming calls and messages on your computer.
  • Virtual touchpad: Use your phone screen as your computer’s touchpad.
  • Notifications sync: Access your phone notifications from your computer and reply to messages.
  • Multimedia remote control: Use your phone as a remote for Linux media players.

Hence, it’s ideal to text from PC and replaces partially the Mudita center.

I use it every day, and it helps me fulfill my minimalist ideals. Instead of using a side-loaded browser to view a link, I can send the link to my clipboard and open it on my computer.
