It is now even easier for me to imagine strangers (as @urszula said that she experienced) and others asking about my (to-be-delivered) Kompakt when they see me using it in bright sunlight – such as after a Saturday-morning run in a park.
Many of my fellow runners are addicted to smartphones, so I do not know whether the Kompakt’s physical quality and E Ink screen can shift any of them into the minimalist-phone world!
I have lost count of how many times I have watched a fellow runner strain to read his or her smartphone screen outside, so there is hope!

I’m in the same position! Not been this active on a forum or so closely checked my emails for a couple of years now, ha!
After a week of owning and using it, ironing out any questions I have, I expect to disappear back into the ether…

Yeah even when I am at the gym you see people on their phones, it seems people cannot even exercise without needing their dopamine hit.

Just so we are not too judgmental here, some of them are checking their next exercise or running stats. It’s not all about the dopamine. Honestly, how often do we check here for new comments “for that dopamine hit”?

lol, I really hope I don’t have any delays when it ships to me here in Canada, although I have to say the wait it honestly not that bad using the light phone 2, I own this little phone a lot, used it so many times over the past 4 years and it really helped rewire my brain, that being said I am PUMPED to get my Kompakt!

sort of related. I am considering building my own eink weather device, there’s a number of open builds out there you can follow using off the shelf components.
seems like a nice idea for the home, and keep that purposeful technology idea.

I wrote today (2 May) to support@mudita.com to see whether Mudita can get my Kompakt released from the UPS warehouse in Warsaw.
Two days stuck at a UPS warehouse seems long to me.
More specifically, UPS has had the package for three days:
