UK guys above, any update on yours? Mine is now in Day 5 sitting in the warehouse and no update.
i would have expected it to be in the UK if it was shipped friday. mine is being delivered shortly.
Does anyone know if a signature is required for delivery? (I’m in the UK and expecting my MK today, but may be out for part of the day.) Thanks.
if you’ve not signed up for UPS mychoice, do so now, it might be able to link to your current delivery and you can assign more detailed and explicit delivery instructions, including (if needed) pre-signing for your delivery.
otherwise, check the UPS tracking and it might give you options without needing an account.
i dont know if UPS will leave your package without explicit instructions
FYI. I just spoke to UPS (in the UK). Delivery doesn’t require a signature. (This suits me today. )
Mine arrived this mine, UK. UPS guy didn’t require signature, just took a photo of it on floor inside the door.
Very lucky it arrived early, no one in the rest of day.
Had a play with it, seems really good. I look forward to playing with it for a couple of days then barely using it at all
My only criticism is the screen protector isn’t what I would describe as matte finish, despite it described that way on the packaging. Adds a definite gloss to the screen, hmm. I don’t normally bother with screen protectors, we shall see whether I keep it on. I probably will given I fluked a perfect installation - I didn’t affix the guide stickers well at all and they fell off (my fault), but somehow applied the protector flawlessly, ha!

the packaging is all well done as well, all recyclable… with one exception, the wrap on the cable is plastic. (and maybe the film on the screen? can that be recycled i dont know)

@landbrugsmedisteren I would ask you to contact our customer service regarding this. I was informed that other than a few orders which have some address issues, most pre-orders of the Global Optimized version have gone out. And now, all Kompakt Global orders are being processed as orders are being placed.

Just to clarify, you’re referring to what’s already applied to the device when new, correct? Assuming yes, I also think it’s too glossy. I could see it from other people’s photos that it was too glossy. I wonder if the market for Mudita K peripherals is big enough for 3rd parties selling screen protectors…
Out of curiosity who is actually packing these phones? Is it just Mudita staff? And then UPS is picking it up ?

There is no screen protector applied on the phone by default. If you ordered one, then you get a tempered glass protector.
As thurakanda said above, there is no protector by default. I applied the one Mudita sell separately.
It definitely looks glossy, has a shine to it that I’m not super keen on, but I will persevere with it probably. Not used it much beyond a quick fiddle before I left for work, once I’ve loaded all my contacts later, tomorrow outside will be the true test.
I loved everything else about the Kompakt otherwise. Feels well put together, simple and effective.
Mine has arrived also. Now the long slog of setting up, updating software and familiarisation…
So far: feels solid, looks good, fast for an e-ink, prefer no background light, but good to have option. Will apply screen protector and case shortly before I do something silly to it.

This is an AI image, correct? While I appreciate the sentiment and the attempt to visualize the process for us, it might be good to indicate when pictures of your shipping process are AI versus real. Otherwise you could suffer from “scam” claims like other manufacturers do.

I read here (@urszula) that almost all pre-orders should have been shipped by now. However, I pre-ordered two days ago, and my order is still being processed.
Is there any problem or are the more recent pre-orders not being shipped yet?
