Mudita Kompakt does support group texts- however, from what I’m reading in your post, you’re looking for a more enhanced group-chat experience that only RCS provides, similar to popular instant messaging apps.
Unfortunately, RCS is not something that we are planning to implement in the future.
The short reason for this is that in an Android-based phone, to use RCS in text messages, your phone generally requires Google Play Services to be active and functioning. Play Services handles the background push notifications, device authentication, and the end-to-end encryption keys. Mudita Kompakt is intentionally de-googled and does not have Google Play Services.
