Just a short explanation of our approach to EMF. With Kompakt we decided not to go that far in experimenting with antennas. We still aimed at the lowest SAR, but this time with a priority not to compromise the signal strength. With that, we end up in the mid SAR regions. Not so amazingly low as with Pure, but still much lower than some mainstream devices (think Iphones for example).
After doing that, we thought what are the other ways to minimize EMF exposure.
And we do two things. First we implemented Offline+ button. Those days even flight modes doesn’t guarantee that some EMF emitters are off in the smartphones. With Offline+ there is guarantee that all radio waves are cut off.
Second thing we did, was minimizing data transmission for the os. As intensity of the data exchange is positively correlated with EMF strength. The eink phone without online video capabilities helps in this naturally. But we ensure that apps we provide also rely on data exchange as little as possible. The best example are our maps. After initial map download they don’t require being online, therefore no data exchange plus they are fully functional in Offline+ mode.
To sum up. We still care about EMF exposure, but we needed to be more creative and approach it from different angles, as we wanted to be absolutely sure that the device excels in the signal strength. Which I believe is the case, but real life reviews from thousands of users (not dozens of our testers) will confirm it or not;-)
I hope I shed some light on the topic
