Is India release on cards?

Please consider releasing the phones, especially Kompakt, in India.

If released in India at a reasonable price point, they WILL definitely be a sleeper hit and scale will bring down the costs for everyone.

Such phones are very much needed, this is a very large market in India. Here is a non-exhaustive list of would-be users:
• Elderly and senior citizens. There are no phones in market like Kompakt which will be perfect for seniors. HMD is spamming low quality crap in market and earning free money.
• Teenagers preparing for the brutal entrance exams. 15 lakh students typically appear just for one exam. Many students buy keypad dumbphones to cut down distraction when preparing for 2 years (let’s ignore the sad state of affairs here), but still need something to look up study material and other stuff.
• People going on detox.
• People who aren’t adept at tech yet. Note that the smartphone and internet penetration is not yet achieved 80/90% in India.
• Field workers. If people working on fields can get a phone which they can read in sunlight, that would spread like wildfire.

There are many cases. One can look at the dumbphone market sales and stats on Amazon and Flipkart.

If the BHIM app gets supported in this, then UPI functionality would be achieved which would make it a market killer phone.

Please consider releasing in India.
