I’ve seen quite a few conversations on the forum about the lack of voicemail notifications on the Kompakt, so wanted to share that I successfully downloaded the YouMail app on the Aurora store to test it out. A free account allows you to view transcriptions and listen to voicemails from their app. A YouMail Plus account (which is USD $7.99 per month) allows voicemail to text message and voicemail to email forwarding. I have it set up where I now receive a text message each time I get a voicemail. The app itself works ok, but not great, on the Kompakt, but now that I have voicemail to text set up, I don’t need to open the app at all. There are a lot of other features, including call screening, call blocking etc. that I did not test out. I only tested the voicemail feature. I plan on using this in the meantime until a future Mudita update allows for voicemail notifications.
If anyone else has found another solution for voicemail notifications, feel free to share.
For some context, I use the Kompakt on a Verizon Prepaid plan. Just thought I would share in case this helps someone else out
