Install app via Mudita Center

Hi, I installed 2 Apps via the Mudita Center - but I can’t See them in the Phone :face_with_diagonal_mouth:
What could be the reason ? Thank you

have you checked the app layout editor, to see if they have been hidden by default?

Yes, they could be hidden by default- check your APP LAYOUT settings.

Hi, this could be pretty random, but are you sure you really installed it? The Mudita Centre installation works in 2 steps. You have to choose the app and it is the list afterwards. But you have to click on it again to actually install it. I am sorry if I am stating the obvious but it could help and it is worth the try. If you did, please just ignore me :slight_smile:

@sannasanna I’m was just going to say this…
It’s basically like downloading a program on your computer & then having to click on the .exe program to INSTALL the program.

But if I can’t find it on the phone ( the .exe ) I can’t install it

You are not supposed to install .exe files; instead, you should install .apk files.

I love this update, thank you for supporting such a popular feature! I just wanted to ask - how do I uninstall an app? I’ve deleted the .apk file but it still appears on my App List on the phone.

@reuinnes At this moment, it’s not possible to uninstall via Mudita Center. If you’re technically inclined, it’s possible via ADB- (Android Debugging Bridge). Are you familiar with that program?

Please add the uninstall functionality to the Mudita Center in the next update.

@ramamohan I was informed by the team (when the phone initially came out) that xapk apps would work on Mudita Kompakt. I’m assuming you’ve tried to install them & it didn’t work? What message are you getting?

xapk can be installed through other apps (apkpure), but mudita center only helps install apk files not xapk.

@ramamohan I’ve got some clarification from our team about this issue:
I’m going to sum it up here:
:white_check_mark: XAPKs are supported by Mudita Kompakt
:arrow_forward: You need to install them using other sideloaded app on your phone instead of Mudita Center (for example APK Pure app)
:arrow_forward: Installing via Mudita Center is only for APKs
:information_source: Why? Because XAPKs is like a ZIP package and native OS installer does not support this file format out of the box.
