The same issue happens with quite a few apps. From my experience only Signal is the most reliable for non-google play service devices. It has a fallback for notifications that work reliably. Whatsapp is not bad, but still goes to sleep way too often.

Installed inkOS this morning and have nothing but positive to say so far. App is stable, customizations are cool. Saw on Reddit someone saying that inkOS made them fall in love with their MK again and I couldn’t agree more. Now my only gripe is the notorious SMS/RCS issues for folks who came to MK from iPhone but nonetheless that has nothing to do with inkOS. Your coffee cup will be filled soon @gezimos . Really great job with this launcher.
