If you’re wanting an e-ink screen but with the functionality of a smartphone you could try either the Boox Palma (Wifi only) or any of the Hisense phone models. Hisense also has Google Play so you would have access to essentially any app you wanted.

From above list, Pure could have small TXT/HTML/even PDF viewer, that would be nice, and Kompatkt should have even CBR/docs …
