How to plan a route starting from another place than current location?

Is there a way to select another starting point than current location when using the map application to plan a route? Sometimes it’s good to anticipate the route the GPS will propose…

And of course importing a `gpx` file would be very convenient as well!

Currently it’s not possible tot use a different starting point with the Mudita Maps app currently as far as I’m aware.

Importing a .gpx file defintely sounds like a good suggestion. However there are many, many requests and I doubt this will make it onto the roadmap.

If importing .gpx files is important to you, you might consider sideloading OrganicMaps. It allows importing .gpx files and I think it might also allow using a different starting point, untill these features will be hopefully integrated in a future release of Mudita OS.

Thanks for your reply. I feel like the Maps app currently installed on MK is optimized for the eInk screen and I wonder if another standard application will render the same.

Currently this section cannot be edited, however, I will ask the team if there are plans to make changes to it.

This would be a really useful feature to have and its my main annoyance with the maps having just got the phone recently.
The lack of it means that making plans when I’m not at home is quite difficult as I can’t look up travel times until I get home and can use the GPS.

I’m also a big fan of looking at a route and then navigating it without using a GPS, so having to enable the GPS just to get the route to display is annoying but I appreciate that my use-case there is likely not the same as the majority of people
