I am trying to load my music library onto my new mudita kompakt. The music files play correctly on the device, but I can’t get the album covers to appear in the app… They do appear in VLC and other software on my computer/tablet, though.

Are you looking for Mudita Kompakt to IMPORT the file ALBUM cover into the Mudita Kompakt Music APP? Am I understanding that correctly?
Yes, exactly! I want the music covers to appear in the music app like shown in your picture (like an iPod or any music player would do). I don’t want the app to download the covers from the internet like iTunes does. Just local files. Usually, the covers are included in the metadata (tags) of the audio file.
@ClassicDriDri I did ask our team about this & it’s unfortunately not on the roadmap, so I will pass this on to our team. Thank you for the feedback.
Album covers can be stored in the metadata of music files, it should be as straight forward as displaying them. That’s how iTunes and others have done it for 20+ years. No need for separate files or importing.
