I am on vacation and want to change my mobile network but can’t seem to find this in settings

@john765 Are you asking about being able to choose which network provider you connect to while roaming?
I want to change my mobile operator. But I don’t have this options. How can i acces this? I don’t have manual or auto mobile networks selection.

@john765 If you’re abroad- from what I know (this is how it works in the EU)- your home carrier has commercial agreements with specific foreign networks. These agreements define which local carriers your SIM is allowed or prioritized to connect to when you’re abroad.
Your SIM card (network provider) has a preferred roaming list, which ranks foreign networks based on:
- Signal quality
- Agreement priority
- Cost efficiency for the home provider
Kompakt uses this list to decide which network to connect to automatically.
I am close to border from non EU country. And my phone chooses this network. So i am in non EU roaming. And must pay for all. So this is a must have option. Even the most basic phones have this option. Pleas add this.
Can i access it anyhow , via Activity manager or somehow?

@john765 So, let me see if I understand this correctly- Your home SIM network is automatically switching to another network (not the one that you have on your SIM) because you are close to the border of different countries?
Yes. It switches to non EU network. Probably because it has stronger reception. That is always the case here where I am. Before i would just manually change network to a wanted one and problem solved. Here I can’t find this option.

Any news on this. I am stuck at wrong network. Can’t make calls or go online because it is too expensive.

UPDATE: Our Team is aware of this and they will be adding a manual setting in a future update.

Thanks. They should simply return stock android network settings. Manual and auto network selection etc…

Please ask for mobile data and location toggle in quick settings also. That is crucial for better user friendly experience.

Yes. Or instead of weather widget. The weather widget should be optional as it drains the battery and uses data.
