It’s often asked here why RCS is important to users.
This weekend, I didn’t receive a message sent by my dear friend informing me of her engagement. This is because of iPhone/Android MMS/RCS issues. The message was formatted as MMS sent to multiple people. She was wondering wtf was wrong with me for not replying to her big news. I didn’t receive it at all, in spite of others on the group message receiving it.
So for me, RCS is super important for deliverability.
And before anyone asks, yes I properly opted out of RCS before leaving my Google Pixel, and it has been more than 30 days.
