Hail — Community App Review
Version: 1.10.0

Hail is a free and open-source Android tool that lets you freeze apps you don’t need, helping reduce RAM usage, improve battery life, and keep your device running more efficiently. By freezing apps, you temporarily prevent them from running in the background, and you can unfreeze them whenever you need them again.

This can lead to noticeably better battery performance and a smoother overall experience, especially on lighter devices. In Hail, you can also choose which apps to include or exclude, giving you flexible and precise control over what stays active on your system. For example, you can set up workflows like freezing selected apps when the device is locked, so they don’t consume resources while you’re not actively using the phone.

The main limitation is that it relies on Shizuku (or root/ADB authorization), which currently needs to be re-enabled after every device restart. It would be great if future updates allowed Shizuku to reconnect automatically via Wi-Fi debugging at startup, reducing the need for manual setup each time.
