I’m slowly heading the Mudita way but I have some specific questions. Some of these are esoteric
- Tailscale – I run tailscale with an exit node at home. Is anyone using Tailscale?
- Does the phone allow the following:
- No answer transfer
- Bust transfer
- No connection transfer
I don’t use my cell provider’s answering service but bounce the transfers to another service which is a local number for me.
- Garmin Connect, does it work?
- Akruto Sync – I sync all my contacts, calendar, tasks and notes via Akruto. This requires an Exchange account on the phone. Is anyone running an Exchange account?
- Airalo – Anyone running Airalo for international data?
- OsmAnd+ - Anyone using OsmAnd+?
- Evo - ?
- Bolt - ?
- Line - ?
- Lyft - ?
- Wise - ?
Thanks for any input

Garmin Connect works perfectly. Any app that involves payment will not work, so Lyft, Bolt and the like are out of the question. The workaround is sideloading a web browser and booking your ride through the web portal of those services. Technically possible but who knows if it’ll crash on you, it might be unreliable.

Much appreciated! Evo will be the only annoyance then. Also the parking app… hmm.

I use Tailscale to connect to my audiobook (Audiobookshelf) and ebook (Kavita) server on my Kompakt when I am out of the house and it works well.

Thanks @esquared, good to know. Come to think of it, I might just leave TS off the device altogether. It looks like I’ll have a few apps that won’t work or that are too tricky to move across, like brokerage and banking tools that require 2FA. Those 2FA processes sometimes hiccup when I’m away from home or out of the country. Never been an issue since. Best to leave them safely behind. The only tools I’ll have on the phone (it arrives Monday!) are communication tools.

@Malindi
I haven’t the foggiest idea what any of that means in your post. Are you on the run from hostile forces? Is it a plea for help? We are a helpful community, but I suspect people like me may need help breaking your cryptic cypher first.

Re: Garmin Connect: I just installed it and tried connecting my old Venu 2s. While it recognises that there might be one near, it can’t finish the ‘Completing setup of your device’ step. I’ve tried everything from restarting both devices to turning the Bluetooth on the phone on and off. Did anyone have a similar problem?

@aerdureth I will try to connect to my forerunner 25 (I know it’s old so that was my initial guess as to why it didn’t work) but it just hangs on the connect screen with a refresh arrow almost like it’s trying to load a reconnect screen but can’t.
