I’m currently developing a dedicated Flights App specifically optimized for the Mudita Kompakt. My goal is to make travel a bit more “mindful” by having all your essential flight info on your e-ink screen without the distractions of a full smartphone.
I’m looking for a few people who are flying soon to help me test two core features:
Boarding Pass Parsing: I need to ensure that scanned/imported passes render clearly and scan correctly at the gate.
Flight Tracking & Notifications: Testing if the app correctly notifies you of gate changes, delays, or boarding times within the Kompakt’s OS environment.
What I need from you:
You have a Mudita Kompakt.
You have an upcoming flight (within the next few weeks).
You’re willing to provide feedback on how the UI looks on the e-ink display.
If you’re interested, please drop a comment or send me a DM! I’d love to get this into a few hands to make sure it’s rock-solid for the community.
Unfortunately, I just finished out my flying season, so I can’t be of much help any time soon. But good luck to you! It would be wonderful to have an E-Ink version of Flighty, which I’ve subscribed to for years on my iPhone.
@Noteh I’ve got a trip at the end of this month, and another two in April, and I’d love to try it. I’ll be travelling with my smartphone as the trips will generally be quite reliant on Google Maps and saved places, but I’m happy to bring along the MK for the flights.
I have flights in March & April. Would love to test! My last flight I took screenshots of the mobile boarding pass on my Mac and uploaded the photo to use on my Kompakt. It worked fine, but this would be great!
Hey @Noteh - just remembered this app and was wondering if you’re still working on it? Have a flight at the end of the month and would be really happy to test
