Feature Request: voice messaging

MuditaOS, the Pure Phone and the upcoming Kompakt really need voice messaging (not voice to text)!
Texting is tedious at the best of times especially with just a feature phone keypad, and even with a full on-screen keyboard. Speaking is just way easier and frictionless!

Please consider bringing voice messaging to MuditaOS and your awesome phones!

Lack of voice messaging and lack of encrypted messaging are the two things stopping me from getting one over a Punkt.

@b_9 Welcome to the Mudita Forum! Thank you for reaching out. I’ll pass your info to our team. I’ll be honest & admit that I don’t even know what type of technology is necessary to make this happen, but I’m sure our team can give us some insight.

Thanks for responding and for passing it on to the team! :crossed_fingers:

Just to be clear I mean voice messaging (Apple calls them audio messages) like iOS has. Where I tap/tap and hold a microphone icon/button and record an audio message, and the recepient gets a little message bubble with a play button to play the audio message.

And like Signal has.

Sunbeam Wireless flip phones have voice messaging (via a pushbutton on the back), but I also like, and prefer, their Premium Service’s voice-to-text feature, which works extremely well (better than Google’s voice-to-text feature) and keeps the user’s identity anonymous.

Its really simple and good idea, there is mic and speaker. ON older phone there is no data transmission, question is could VOLTE be used to this cause. On Kompakt, this should be easy to do, even its more worth on older model, sine its saves time in typing long messages . `
