Feature Request: “Lost Mode” for Mudita Kompakt

Hello Team Mudita,

I’d like to propose a Lost Mode feature for the Mudita Kompakt that aligns with Mudita’s philosophy of simplicity, privacy, and intentional use.

A lightweight Lost Mode would:

  • Help owners recover a lost device
  • Protect personal data
  • Avoid adding complexity or smartphone-like tracking

Possible Implementation Ideas

Keeping things simple and privacy-respecting, Lost Mode could include:

Remote activation

Enable Lost Mode via:

  • Mudita Center (desktop)
  • SMS command from a trusted number
  • Optional web portal (no continuous tracking)

Lock and data protection

  • Instantly lock the device with a PIN
  • Disable access to contacts, messages, notes, and other personal data
  • Optional auto-wipe after a set number of failed unlock attempts

Finder message

  • Display a custom message on the lock screen, for example:
    “This device is lost. Please call +XX XXXXXXXX”

Limited connectivity

  • Allow incoming calls from one trusted number
  • Optionally allow outgoing calls only to an owner-defined number

Optional sound trigger

  • Ability to trigger a loud ringtone to help locate the phone nearby

This type of Lost Mode could improve peace of mind and device security while remaining fully consistent with Mudita’s privacy-first and minimalist design principles.

I hope the Mudita team might consider this for a future Kompakt update.

I’d like to request a feature where it’s easier to close apps. right now i’m having to close each app individually and figure out which is open or close. i’d like a way to be able to just select open apps quickly and close them. is this coming in the next update?
