Feature request: eink refresh page function

(Unsure whether this exact thing has already been requested.)

When using side-loaded apps, the previous page may leave a “ghost image”.
With a forced page refresh, the “ghosting” can be removed.

Suggestion: When pressing the bottom-right settings/menu button,
add a refresh when leaving it (bottom-right is pressed again) :

  1. Press bottom-right once: show weather/menu/settings.
  2. Press bottom-right again: leave weather/menu/settings and return to previous “page”, plus do a page refresh on that previous page.

I know that inkOS has a refresh page option, but it doesn’t cover other third-party apps.

The bottom-right button is “right there”, and available at all times, in all apps, Mudita OS K native and third-party.

Custom refresh-settings are planned for Q3 2026, see MuditaOS K Roadmap & Upcoming Updates | Mudita, but maybe in a different way. This douple-tap function on the menu button does not sound like it is a good user experience. I’m sure they will find a solution for those users who want to avoid ghosting.

That’s right. Our team is working on adding * User-selectable E Ink modes which are designated refresh modes for different use cases.

It’s all on the Roadmap:

Yeah, I’m just bad at wording my request: I noticed the planned e-ink modes update,
but what I’m wishing for is this:

A “forced”, as in manual, refresh option.
In addition to the planned user-selectable e-ink modes.

@urszula Please ask the team also if they can make the fonts/display in the epub reader a bit darker cause it’s to gray/washed and it’s very difficult to read.
That’s why I’m using another ereader, but I will prefer to use the default one, but can’t cause the letters are to “washed out”.

By the way.
It’s very nice to have this kind of contact with the team and know that they are receiving all the things/problem we like to solve.
This make the product SO MUCH BETTER !
