I’m thinking it would be really awesome to have customizable icons for the apps. A lot of launchers have their own branded icons that you can use for your apps. It would be great to keep with the Mudita brand.

@stephane Thanks for this suggestion. I will pass this on to the team. In the meantime, have you tried InkOS, by @gezimos. I think his launcher offers something like this. (correct me if I’m wrong @gezimos )
I’ve used it and it looks great. Personally though, I feel like the MuditaOS flows well while InkOS seems to have a very slight lag.

@urszula Right now inkOS (v0.4) only has text icons (like Periodic Table). in v0.5 it will have actual icon support:
@stephane There might be 2 issues with the lag that come to my mind:
- In some of the first views there will be some lag until the app caches the app names and does the height calculation for pages to distribute them evenly between pages.
- Or you have turned on the “eink auto mode” during onboarding or in Settings/Extras. This does improve the text crispiness in the display but it will cause performance issues, it will of course feel slower.
