Extreme spectrum-based light sensitivity and mudita products

I unfortunately have not tested any other colors but blue or purple irlen sheets. If I had some I would though! I just have blue and purple since I went through irlen testing for some visual sensitivities I have. Blue and purple took away my photophobia instantly.

If I get the rose clings or overlays ill be sure to test them and post them. I know eventually here ill end up buying them to test lol. I do know the overlays have a matte and glossy side but gotta be careful with the matte side as the pigment easily scratches off. The irlen stuff is cool it helps my light sensitivities and pattern glare issues. It was previously called Meares syndrome. It really needs more awareness as lots of people have visual stress issues nowadays

Seems to me a real advantage of Irlen overlays compared to coloured cellophane or see-through coloured plastic office supplies / document holder plastics is they are optical grade. Optical grade is as good as it gets for being able to read a clock face through. Obviously this is not as good as having orange or red backlighting for the display for those avoiding blue light exposure. It did occur to me that if people do not need the backlight for finding out the time during the night, maybe some people want the blue light to help them wake up in the morning as the clock’s light goes on before the alarm goes off.

Irlen only sell 10 colours of overlays. All are matte one side and gloss the other, so one can choose which side up. Golden Rod is an orange colour that,is similar to the colour of amber lights sold for blue blocking, and so can be expected to block much of the blue light from the LED clock face backlight, but not all blue light. Even more blue light will come through Irlen’s yellow overlay and their rose overlay is not solid red, so not sure how that one will go. Those are the 3 colours of Irlen overlay that make any sense for blue light blocking purposes.
