That probably means that your number is not being spammed. It does NOT mean that the blocker is working well.

Well, there is no blocker anyway ATM for SMSes. It’s just that usually, most people get spam calls and not spam SMSes.

No spam hear even when I got a old redycled number, If a call comes in for the previous owners number , I just block it and that has only been a dozen times and it has blocked them.

Yes, when I block them manually, it works. However, I will then still get new SMS from my provider, informing me that the same number has called again :confused: So I would have to block my provider too in order to have my peace. So this is not doable. Plus I keep getting new spam, so the manual blocking never stops. This is not a “mindful” way of using a phone. I have never been distracted that much on any other device.

Why don’t you get a different phone. I also have a Sunbeam F1 and a Light phone, but Like the Mudita much better..

I tested Freedom SMS Blocker (GitHub APK) & it actually is quite nice because it’s a fully rule-based blocking system & lets YOU define:

There is one version & it hasn’t been updated for awhile, but it might be what you are looking for @YYZ

I am also passing it on to the team to see if something like this could be created for Kompakt. OR someone can create this using MMD :slight_smile:

Thank you. I looked but can’t find a file to download. It says “No packages published”.

But I tried several other blockers, including F-Droid’s “Spam Blocker” which is supposed to work for calls and SMS, but it also doesn’t work.

Besides, there are no common keywords or number patterns in the spam I receive, each message is different, and numbers come from different countries.

It might work if numbers are put on the blacklist, but then it’s the same effort as blocking them manually on the Kompakt, so no difference.

Since I can’t know in advance which numbers will spam me, I cannot block them in advance. The Kompakt itself should simply block all numbers that are not on the contact list, that’s the easiest way.

P.S.: I found the download, it’s well hidden! But it’s a pre-release from 2020. I wouldn’t recommend it.
