Emf levels on Kompakt

When I look up the SARS for my iphone 14 vis Mudita Kompakt, the iphone is higher…

well, for one, too many people have forgotten that we went centuries without cell phones, so they aren’t mandatory. Landlines are great. And personally, I enjoy NOT being constantly ‘connected’, there’s a peace to it. If one must have one, like for work, flip phones work. Sadly in America, where they are trying to control all things and push towards higher tech, we can’t use the older 3g flips. Until I find a safe alternative, I’ll stick with contacting people via landline when I need to.

A warning is needed on this ad image – DON’T KEEP YOUR CELLPHONE IN YOUR PANTS POCKET! Don’t keep it near any part of your body that is sensitive and precious, or especially vulnerable to developing cancer / loss of fertility. And Mudita, I hope it is the Kompakt that received the design award, because this ad image does not deserve one.

Check out Sunbeam Wireless for 4G/LTE flip phones. I have a now-discontinued one – the F1 Orchid – and will keep using it as my daily driver until my Mudita Kompakt arrives.

I can’t argue against that. You are right

what’s the radiation (SAR) level like?

I don’t know, but I carry it in a clip on my belt (instead of in my pocket), and I often use it in speakerphone mode.

You can contact Sunbeam Wireless here.

Nice catch, yeah could make more sense to show a frame from Ursula’s video of Kompakt screen in full sun. Or being pulled out of a kidney bag as part of EDC.

@shewhomust Thank you for sharing your concerns. You’re absolutely right that keeping any electronic device directly against sensitive areas of the body can raise questions for some people and your passion for reducing EMF exposure is totally valid.
At Mudita, we deeply respect everyone’s health priorities, including those of our more EMF-aware community members. :herb:
If you’re fairly new to the Mudita Forum, I’m not sure if you’ve read about Mudita Kompakt’s OFFLINE+ mode.
To those concerned with EMF exposure, let me share some peace of mind:
Mudita Kompakt does include a unique feature called OFFLINE+ mode, which not only disables software activity but also cuts power to all communication modules at the hardware level — essentially silencing the device completely. It’s as close to EMF-zero as you can get without literally turning off the power at the wall! :mobile_phone_off:

In fact, we conducted a detailed spectrum analysis (yes, in a full RF testing chamber!) and the results showed that the emissions in OFFLINE+ mode are virtually indistinguishable from background noise — i.e. the same as having no device present at all.

As for the image- fair point! We totally get how that visual could feel jarring to someone cautious about EMFs & they may not know about Mudita Kompakt’s OFFLINE+ mode.
Your feedback is appreciated and will be passed on to the design team.

Thanks again for being part of this community and for helping keep the conversation thoughtful and health-focused. Let’s all keep learning from one another.

My first text on it was based on the first information we got, and Kompakt SAR was higher than my iPhone 11 Pro Max. If the updated number is low, it is very commendable. I appreciate your input.

So the Harmony 2 clock is made in China?

@muxbree yes it is.

Is it correct that Kompakt hardware was made in China?

@neatsolutions Only hardware. All software is flashed here, in Poland.

People who are disgruntled about a phone being made in China don’t understand how difficult it is. There are many things you just cannot purchase anywhere else because no one else produces it. Did you know there isn’t a single Christmas light manufacturer in the USA? Even if you wanted your Christmas lights to be American made- you couldn’t find a single manufacturer. That’s just one example.

@The This is very correct. We did manufacture Mudita Pure in Poland. This reflected not only in the price of the product, but also in how long it took us to fulfil all the orders.

Which, in my opinion was worth it. And when companies make this effort, it proves that it can be done.

which is sad, and shows that we need to resume manufacturing of our own products. However, one can buy Christmas lights, and other products, second-hand in that case. If we put our money where our mouths are, so to speak, perhaps change will happen.

If only it were that easy… Just because something is manufactured in Poland doesn’t mean all of the parts inside of that product are from Poland.
