Edge to edge, matte, blue light filtering screen protector for Kompakt?

Subject says it all  Long shot, but any chance that when the initial launch jitters settle down, the team could work on an edge to edge, matte blue light filtering screen protector in the future? I think it could be such a nice accessory to have!

I also made a similar request where I mentioned the flaw of the screen protector not being edge to edge. I’ve already have dust getting stuck on the gap between the display lip and the screen protector.

Also something with white/pebble gray borders would be great.

Being more matte also would be nice!

Actually @urszula can the team provide precise measurements or CAD models for custom accessories to be produced?

Sorry to bump this @urszula but do you think there’s any chance this would be possible? It’s quite common for companies to provide specifications so that accessories can be made, for example Apple’s Accessory Design Guidelines: https://developer.apple.com/accessories/Accessory-Design-Guidelines.pdf

Yeah this doesn’t make sense to me, why would they not provide edge to edge protection

How much space is actually open on the sides? Is there enough that a drop could hit an edge and cause the screen to crack, can you show a pick by chance?

As someone that is absolute trash at properly aligning screen protectors, this one being a little undersized means it is still covering the screen but not interfering with the case despite it not being perfectly centered. If they release one with tighter tolerances I would really appreciate one of those aligning templates like Spigen includes with their screen protectors.

This is with the case on the phone which I thought helped a decent bit taking up the gap. Mine is as misaligned as it can be and not interfere with the case (the right side of the phone has <0.5mm gap). So with the case, a properly aligned screen protector might have a 1mm gap on both sides.
Though I just removed the case to measure again and the case doesn’t actually wrap around the glass part of the screen anyways, if anything it might be a 0.1mm overlap onto the actual glass, negligible at most so really doesn’t make a difference. You’d have to have some serious bad luck for the phone to fall on something that is small enough but hard enough to crack if the glass is decent quality.

While Urszula is on vacation, I passed this idea to our team.
They’re aware that there’s demand for this, but currently all focus is on things like shipping & upcoming updates,.

Do you often use the backlight of the screen?
What I noticed that, when it is dark enough to switch it on, I tend to not use the phone at all. There’s nothing to do on it in the evening

I’m also interested in having a blueprint to have a less reflective custom screen protector made. Thanks for considering

@jfoigjboiwjefaij I have passed this on to our team

probably not a good long-term idea, but if you just want to turn the screen yellow-ish you could apply kapton tape.

Same here
I think I can count on one hand how often I’ve turned on the backlight.

I’m also interested in a matte screen protector. I was happy to see that the kompakts screen was matte, but it seems like the “matte” screen protector is more anti glare than anything. I know its small, but I was kinda sad to have to cover up the beautiful matte screen with a quite glossy screen protector. hopefully down the road we can get one (I don’t want a yellow screen protector, just matte)

i LOVE the idea of being able to cover the black bezels with white or gray - that would be amazing. something i love so much about the e-ink screen is that its not the black void you get with regular smartphones, i think having white/gray bezels would really reinforce that distinct look.
