E-reader app suggestions

I really love my Kompakt (despite it being on Android 12), and I know the E-reader app could be better. Right now, I am using KOReader, but I would prefer to stick to the native reading app, but I can’t since the current E-reader app on the Kompakt is so bare. Some suggestions:

  • Allow us to left- (or right-) align the text. I absolutely cannot stand reading justified text. It just really bothers me. Having the option to align the text to the left or right is an option every basic e-reading app provides
  • Provide the option to make the text bold. Right now, the body of the text is slightly grayish, which makes it difficult to read
  • Allow us to set a different fonts for the epubs
  • Provide a “Currently reading” page from the drop-down menu
  • Allow us to sort books into folders
  • The ability to bookmark and highlight would be nice
  • Allow us to hide the reading progress percentage while we read so that the reading experience is completely clean
  • Show the actual book covers
  • Give us better control of the refresh. The previous screen retention is so bad even just after one page turn. A systemwide manual refresh in general would make the Kompakt experience better.

Hopefully these changes can be considered!
